The Beginning...

Starting as a modest family enterprise in 1995, Panda Fresh Fruits Ice Cream was introduced commercially in Dumaguete City early in 1996 with the battlecry "Our Very Own" and a business concept that "Quality need not be expensive."

Despite the existence of other brands in the market Panda Ice Cream was quickly embraced by the market due to its distinctive fruit flavor which comes from using real fresh fruits bought directly from farmers and not fruit juices or purees.  Not only that, it is also less in fat since it uses only skim milk, and is low in sugar.  It contains no preservatives and uses purified water.  These unique qualities that are distinct to Panda Ice Cream are possible due to the year round abundant supply of fresh fruits in Negros Oriental, and the factory’s daily production which ensures the availability of the freshest ice cream.

The Process...

Strict quality control is given emphasis on every stage of the production of the ice cream.  From the choosing and buying of the fruits, to the production, packaging and delivery – Panda Ice Cream makes sure that each product will reach its end consumer in the best possible condition.

Panda's products are available in a variety of choices.  With more than 14 ice cream flavors to choose from in gallons, half gallons, liters, pints, cups and bars,  the company  also produces the widely popular Ice Cream Cake which comes in a loaf size, or in sliced 3-in-1 packs.  It also offers the party box which can contain approximately 4 gallons of ice cream ideal for parties and gatherings. Panda gradually invaded the market outside Negros Oriental in late 1996 to Bacolod and Cebu.  During special occasions, products are also shipped in bulk to Manila, Bohol, Cagayan de Oro, Camiguin Island, Ormoc, Tacloban, Iloilo, Dipolog, Ozamiz, and Davao as per request.

In  April 2001, Panda Ice Cream Haus was put up in Dumaguete City serving ice cream concoctions, ice cream shakes, desserts, snacks, and other delicacies to the public.  It is also proud to serve its specialty which is the Panda Fried Ice Cream -- a scoop of ice cream deep fried and served immediately.  It also serves Panda Soya Juice, which contains no preservatives and is available in 325 ml or 1 liter bottles in plain, mocha, chocolate, melon, pandan, and strawberry flavors.  Again, a one of a kind product the company is known for.

The Recognition

In June 2001, the company was awarded for Innovations in Food and Technology during the Cebu Business Month by the Cebu Chamber of Commerce. Later in 2003, Panda Ice Cream Haus was featured in "Extra Extra" on GMA 7 and "Road Trip" on RPN 9 and in 2005 featured again in "Island Tours" of ABC 5, Living Asia Channel and the latest in 2006 on KNN Show and ABS CBN's "Trip Na Trip", "Swak" and "Sa Pulso" of QTv. At present, Panda Ice Cream Haus continues to develop and offer unique delicious products and is constantly a necessary destination in Dumaguete City.
